The words of Christ in Matthew 16:18 have been a continual source of encouragement to us as a fellowship since we began, ‘I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!’
We have faced various challenges since we began, not least of which has been the need to find a place to meet several times. After one service at our second venue, we were informed that we’d need to find somewhere else to meet, which was quite surprising.
But we had already planned to meet in another location for this past Sunday, and so the Lord provided a place, chairs and the basics were lent from our sister church, Downham Baptist Church in Bromley.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and growing this past Sunday evening. What a wonderful spirit there was in the meeting! We are learning the blessings of knowing that where two or three are gathered that He is in the midst!
Tonight, the 7.30pm Bible study will take place at our temporary venue, Headgate House, above NC News, 3 Headgate, Colchester, CO1 1NU. Also, this coming Sunday’s service, 13 June, will also be there. We hope that soon we can get something more permanent lined up. We continue to pray and trust the Lord to work!
Thanks to everyone who has prayed and supported the work. Please continue to pray and the Lord would lead you to give to help us, it would be much appreciated.
