We have just finished our third week of Sunday Worship Services and we are now establishing a settled Mission/Church life.

Our week begins with early morning prayer on Wednesday at 6.00am followed by a light breakfast. Last week we were few in numbers but still had a great time as we sought the Lord for His Presence and to move once again in great power not just in Colchester but also in our Nation. We believe that the Church is built on prayer and so this meeting is extremely important. All very welcome.

Thursday is the day when our Pastor Travis spends the whole day in Colchester and is available to minister and to see folk. Last Thursday we met up with Peter Abrams who has this great ministry educating young people, which has now grown to 13-14 young children between the ages of 7-12. We are passionate to encourage and help Peter in any way that we can, and with this in mind we introduced him to Peter Inson. They have many things in common, primarily a desire to show Christ’s Love to young people and so we’re hoping and praying that the Lord might open a way for them to minister together in the future.

At 7.30pm we had our Bible Study which our Pastor led on the subject, ‘How to Read Our Bibles’ (download notes here). For me, I really enjoy listening to people’s questions and comments and also it is a great way to get to know people better.

Saturday was extremely wet and rained continuously throughout the morning. What a great day to start our new weekly endeavour, namely at 8am morning prayer, 9.00-9.45am breakfast and then 9.45am -11.00am outreach!

Either ways we had a great time, although getting extremely wet, and posted quite a few invitations in local houses. Everyone we spoke to was actually really friendly and interested in what we are doing.

Finally last night we had our Sunday Worship Service. You can now see it either through the website or on YouTube.

For me I enjoyed learning and singing a new hymn, ‘I Have a Shepherd, One I love so Well’.  Our Pastor’s text was from John 1v 38, ‘What seek ye?’

This coming week we have the same 4 events and everyone is warmly welcomed to any or all. If you would like to meet Pastor Travis on Thursday please get in touch and he would be delighted to arrange a time with you.
