By Andrew Franklin

After what seems ages but was actually only 4 weeks, it was great to be back at The Mission and in our new venue!

Attending we had 23 people plus 1 dog and after we had carried our new piano up the stairs, which was actually some feat… we began our service with a popular hymn and now very apt, ‘They were gathered in an upper chamber’.

Our Pastor, Travis spoke from John 5 v1-16 where Jesus heals the man that had an infirmity for 38 years. He pointed out that basically there were two reactions to that miracle, gratitude and hostility, and whilst circumstances change man’s basic nature does not.

When the service had finished it was great to have fellowship and to meet two new guests.

We are now looking forward to our Bible Study on Tuesday evening and to next Sunday’s Service.

If you have never been and would like to come you would be most welcome.
