These series of lessons contain an outline which will greatly help Christians to clearly see their biblical responsibility to witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. Through much examination of the scriptures we can see the Biblical command, the reasons why, and the God ordained method in seeking to bring the lost sinner to Jesus Christ.
The material has been gleaned from brother James Knox of Bible Baptist Church, Deland and his book called “A Biblical Course on Witnessing”. We have re-structured the material for our own purposes as it has been used in our bible study times.
Much damage has been done by those professing Christ but seeking to “soul win” in a man-centred way. Such approaches in getting others to repeat words they did not understand, nor believe has created religion and not true converts to the Lord. Much damage has spread like wild fire where professing Christians “leave it to the Lord” as an excuse to remain comfortable and not engage in the fight for the souls of men. Much damage has been inflicted on the church in false gospels preached (works-based etc…) and Calvinistic approaches in pre-determinism.
We hope you will find this a helpful resource to see and teach others the biblically supported way to approach evangelism, that others will receive the true gospel. When Christ returns, our joy will be heightened if others have been made ready to meet Him through our efforts “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy.” (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20). When time gives way to eternity, we will be fully persuaded that the most important work we did during our mortal lives was to bring others to the Saviour. “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. “ (Daniel 12:3).
